Springish Gray

The weather around here has been so crazy. It goes from cold to mild in a day. One day I am freezing and the next day it is 60 degrees out. It has given me a bad case of spring fever. Today I translated that into my outfit.

I love how this green complements the shade of blue-gray that these pants have. I also like breaking it up and making it more springlike with this white sweater.

I’ve Got This Friend

Today was a great day of learning. You don’t always say that when you attend a professional development session and today I was AMAZED!! It makes me so happy to be in a job where I can continue to learn, grow, and build capacity in others all at the same time! I know that I don’t really talk about my work and I am happy to have them separated, but some days you just have to share the awesomeness of what you do!!

I feel refreshed when it comes to my work. That is a great feeling considering how tired I am right now and how much work that I have to catch up on. Being out of the office all day with very limited email access can make it difficult. The Hubs also got back in town tonight… so that helps with taking care of the Bug – who happens to not be feeling well. What a week! One more day and then a three day weekend. 🙂

The Winter Blues…& Whites

This has been such a strange winter weather wise. One day it is upper 60s and the next it could be snowing. Very weird!

Today’s outfit is almost exclusively New York and Company.

Last night while I was laying in bed, tossing and turning, I came up with this outfit idea. I have been wanting to wear this polka dot shirt in a more professional way than I did for date night. I also haven’t worn this dress in a while because white in the winter can be hard to pull off. I do love the fun polka dots with this otherwise very straight-laced dress. The belt adds a little more dimension to the outfit too.

I like how this outfit looks. But I also realized that I am super fair skinned these days & and this outfit emphasizes that as well.  I am happy that tomorrow is Friday! This has been a great week, but a VERY long week. As I mentioned earlier – I haven’t been sleeping very well. I tend not to sleep when I have a lot going on in my mind & starting a new job qualifies as a lot going on.
